Kyria Six Voice Healing Chant By Strephon 2004
This may be my most moving or healing chant that has come through me.
I just listened to it now this Sunday when I no longer have the voice power to even chant anything. I have lost also my ability to play the guitar.
Regular Church singing, except some of the Eastern Orthodox chants, are light in comparison but related to everyday living.
This chant comes from the archetypal core of our individual and collective being. Thus when we let its sounds move us in a meditative state it can tune us back into our core being, the Source Ground, and that can be a deep healing experience.
I put this chant out on the web for others to use, I who can do so little creative work now myself. Yet going into non-existence, as I seem to be doing, is simply part of an ending process.
For you you get a piece of me here in how I have connected to Universal Source through the form of the dream chant, my term for releasing spontaneous sound as it comes through a core me. Thus the guitar accompaniment is through me, as are each of the voices.
Dream chants cannot be consciously composed, at least by me. They come directly through me in directed experience. They come at great risk. Since I have been doing dream chant for years I have built up the courage to just let go and go with the energy, as I developed also in going with a night dream’s teaching and archetypal movement to resolution.
So I leave this and other chants and stuff with you to use when it seems the right need and time. The kyria is simply one of those universal basic sounds that religions use to evoke healing and the transcendent. It is considered Christian today, but I would think it goes back into the earlier Jewish culture upon which Christianity first laid its roots.
Yet image that around campfires at night humans thousands of years ago were listening to Source and doing a variety of chants, as well as other types of music.
I have used dream chant, spontaneous chant, many times for years to evoke healing in my longer dream groups and it does work to help people heal through having transcendent experiences coming from them as a group and individually.
The media should work okay from here to play yourself on your own devices.
I have been just a moment in time. Now it is your time to be your own moment in time.
