The Battle To Survive 2009
| Hot: |
Summary: Maybe people don’t get it or want to get it, but we face extremely difficult times, not just economically for a lot of us starting out adult life, in the middle of adult life, or ending life itself.
There is one great and necessary survival key that operates at all levels of living life, from the highly personal to the most general of collective life and history.
Principle – The principle is create positive with positive and do not waste resources on negative, destructive acts.
- This means all wars must go as being extravagant, exorbitant and too destructive to world life and resources to be of benefit.
- This means greed and the value of trying to get rich at the expense of others must go since such attitudes and values creates far more destruction than it creates positive increase of lifestyle for all equally on this earth.
- This means acting out your wounds of the past in negativity, depression, criticalness, blaming, complaining, doing revenge on others you hate or are angry at, deceiving others, manipulating others, overpowering others to get your own way, all must go because they are destructive and hurt anyone’s potential to create a fulfilling and positive life for themselves and others.
This article goes into more detail on the above central points.
- If this blog is about anything it is about high-level core thinking in new and valuable ways about how we currently live as human beings, so we may both change society and improve ourselves drastically.
Strephon Says Blog – A New Way Of Thinking About Things – 2009
The world and its people coming through 2008 seem generally depressed. This seems natural as part of a down cycle of positive rise equaled by negative downfall.
Currently the United States government is bailing out GM a big car manufacturer who makes big cars and refuses to change. This bailout of 6 billions is considered a waste by many commentators.
The point is in a serious crisis you don’t put more resources, including money, into an old way of doing things in life that is clearly failing.
The era of expensive big cars is over, as well as the value of making lots and lots of money and buying lots and lots of things.
In the same way in our own lives the more we waste time and energy on old habits, attitudes and old issues from childhood the less energy we have to build our new personalities and effectiveness in the world based on realistic things and potentials happening now.
- There just is not enough energy and time to act out old habits and attitudes from the past, either as individuals, families, or organizations called companies and governments.
- We must daily give up the old in terms of bringing in the new.
- We don’t have time and energy for both.
Currently this attitude of saving the old ways is so prevalent in the United States and Europe that the governments are creating billions of dollars and euros to “help” failing businesses and banks, instead of letting them all go to a conclusion as not relevant for current times and building anew into the future.
When the past is over, let it go.
What you don’t let go of consciously usually forces you to let go of the old and useless in a more extreme way.
Revolutions in government and business are created when too many people are severely affected by the rich and powerful trying to maintain the old ways and values when in fact the reality of the present has changed before their eyes, like quicksand forming under their feet that will surely swallow them up and take a lot of the innocent and powerless with them.
A number of things are currently dead wrong in the modern world of 2008.
Engaging in expensive wars, and continuing to maintain them based on the attitude of needing to win a war to justify the lives of all the dead and the enormous waste of material, spiritual, economic and life resources that war always means.
War must go. It is too expensive to use and maintain as a way of social control of peoples.
Economic processes that make a few rich at the expense of making many poor must go in today’s world of growing population and shrinking resources to sustain the population and civilization itself.
The end of the attitude that anyone has the right to grow rich and stay rich by exploiting others.
Get rid of the attitude that the world’s resources belong to private individuals, and not to the people as a whole equally.
Communication and transport needs to become free to all as this becomes possible.
Property and resources should be managed for the good of all by the best trained experts available in the world, and not by self-serving people already rich or in government without being otherwise qualified.
Abuse of children in any form must go. Still most nations give the biological parents the right to hit and otherwise overpower their children. The right to do mostly what you want with your children is wrong in terms of a Humanity Ethic of Equality of Rights for All, including children.
The psychotherapists of the world have spent millions of hours trying to help heal millions of adults who have been abused in childhood. We spend so much time healing the wounded that we have little extra creative time to develop the best in everybody and not just the few gifted or the few rich children of the world.
Education in every country should be free and not the terrible expense it now is.
Need we go on about the wrongs of the current world that can be easily changed if the world converts to living from a Humanity Ethic of equality for all in the world’s resources?
For our own lives, we should always be re-acknowledging the positive things of value we have done in our lives, at least year by year, affirm these, and set commitments to build on these positive accomplishments for the coming year.
All people, you and I, should commit also to a World Ethic to create things of humanity value every day of our lives, including changing ourselves for the better and giving up negativities as we possibly can such as criticizing, blaming, complaining, seeking and taking revenge, not owning our mistakes and inadequacies, not affirming the accomplishments of friends, others and ourselves when these happen in direct experience.
The rich in practicing the One World Humanity Ethic should give up living at all extravagantly but live at the normal level of lifestyle that most people live at. With their surplus money they can invest in and sometimes help manage projects of others that contribute to the betterment of life and the world.
If you pass on wealth to your heirs this is wrong. Let every person on earth work for their sustenance. Let excesses of wealth go to organizations that do the public good, but not to governments which support expensive militaries that kill people and deplete the world’s resources.
See how the personal growth improvement goes together with the national character in living either a humane life or a greedy life of accumulating wealth and power at the expense always of others?
